HELP YOUR NEIGHBOR HAUL WATER

-A PPWR WATER IS LIFE INITIATIVE–

Application

PPWR will directly pay our Approved Water Hauler $250 to do a one-time delivery and transfer of drinking water to Homeowner’s water tank including the Approved Water Hauler’s Mileage Surcharge Fee.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible to receive financial assistance from PPWR toward the cost of hauling drinking water to their property:

You must own the property and it must be located within the Cochise Groundwater Basin
You began occupying the property as your primary residence prior to January 1, 2026
Your household income must be at or below 300% of the federal poverty level (see chart) – PPWR keeps your info confidential

You must have applied for financial assistance to replace the existing well pump, drill a new well on the property, or deepen your existing well
You must have a water storage tank installed and connected to your domestic water system that can receive the water delivery
You must use PPWR’s Approved Water Hauler and any payment made by PPWR will be directly to the Water Hauler after the water delivery is complete

NOTES:

Due to the high and unstable cost of diesel fuel, for every delivery the Approved Water Hauler charges a cost-per-mile fee (“Mileage Surcharge Fee”) based on the number of miles the Homeowner’s property is located from the Approved Water Hauler’s yard. This Mileage Surcharge Fee is subject to change based on the cost of diesel fuel. Thus, the actual amount of drinking water that can be delivered for the $250 will depend upon the distance the Homeowner’s property is from the Approved Water Hauler’s yard.

(For example, a property which is closer to Approved Water Hauler’s yard will have less of the $250 allocated towards Approved Water Hauler’s Mileage Surcharge Fee, leaving more of the $250 to pay for the drinking water itself.)

After you are approved, PPWR will inform you of the Approved Water Hauler’s cost breakdown for the water and Mileage Surcharge Fee, the delivery date, and the approximate time.

You must be present at the time of delivery to meet the Approved Water Hauler and direct him to your tank.

You will be responsible for any and all costs associated with this water delivery that exceed the $250.
